If you are aspiring to have a career in the field of dermatology as a dermatologist, you must first and foremost have an education by graduating from a medical school. Your school must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

You may pursue a fellowship after passing your dermatology training. This fellowship will help you establish your specialty. You have many options to choose from for the specialty.
